SB Nation caught up with Raleigh-based wide receiver recruit Braxton Berrios to get his thoughts on The Opening 2013 so far. Berrios also revealed the current top five in his ongoing recruitment.

Berrios, a 5'8, 170-pound receiver out of Leesville Road High School in Raleigh, is considered a consensus three-star prospect by the recruiting services. He holds more than 15 FBS offers from the likes of Clemson, South Carolina, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, NC State, Maryland and Georgia Tech. He is looking to commit in late September or early October.

As SB Nation recruiting analyst Bud Elliott says, Berrios has become a prime target for spread teams looking for the next Wes Welker:

Spread teams covet a receiver who can consistently get open on option routes, like Wes Welker did for Tom Brady. Berrios fits the bill. He's tiny, but he uses that to his advantage. His ability to quickly change direction is way too much for even the best coverage linebackers to handle. Almost all of his major offers come from spread teams.

Berrios is also a top-notch punt returner, and could contribute immediately on special teams wherever he lands.
