Beanie Wells has landed on IR, but he could be back this year.
As the Arizona Cardinals won their third-straight game to begin the season on Sunday afternoon, the team lost their starting running back. Beanie Wells, who has battled injuries throughout his career since coming to the NFL, left the game with an apparent foot injury. The extent of the injury is yet to be determined, but it is believed he might have suffered a turf toe.
Here is the latest from Darren Urban of AZCardinals.com.
Beanie Wells said he could have turf toe. He and Darnell Dockett will be checked out more tomorrow.

If further evaluation does indicate a turf toe, Wells could miss substantial time. These kind of injuries have a tendency to linger over the course of a season, and that's the last thing the Cardinals want.
Once Wells left the field on Sunday, Ryan Williams began taking the majority of the carries.
