Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller has the support of his teammates when it comes to his appeal of the four-game suspension levied onto him by the NFL. As noted by Lindsay H. Jones of USA Today, Miller's teammates believe he'll win his appeal, though such victories are something of a rarity in the NFL these days.

According to the report, a person with knowledge of Miller's situation said that the suspension was not the result of a failed drug test and that Miller "didn't test positive for anything." On top of that, the source also confirmed that Miller had tested positive for marijuana back in 2011, and is therefore in the league's drug offender program.

That program includes random, unannounced drug tests, and the second phase of the program can lead to suspensions.

Teammate Wesley Woodyard says that he believes what Miller says is true, and that he has Miller's back "100 percent."

Miller is one of the key pieces of Denver's defense, and finished second in defensive MVP voting last season. He has been tight-lipped about his case thus far, and it's unlikely we hear much from him on the matter until his appeal is resolved.

A decision on his appeal is expected before the start of the regular season.
