It was a busy day in Green Bay on Monday as the Packers officially lost left tackle Bryan Bulaga for the season and replaced him on the roster with ... Vince Young. That's right, the former No. 3 pick is back in the league after a year away. That and more as we spin around the NFL and catch up on Monday's headlines.

Vince Young signs deal with Green Bay Packers

Young hasn't taken a regular season snap since 2011 when he was playing for Philadelphia, but he'll get a chance to make an NFL comeback with the Packers this season. Green Bay worked out Young early Monday before agreeing to a deal later in the day. He'll have to compete with Graham Harrell and B.J. Coleman for a roster spot behind Aaron Rodgers.

It's a low-cost and potentially high-reward move for Green Bay. Harrell hasn't stood out and, at worst, the Packers can release Young before the regular season while having incurred very little cost. If Young is able to solidify the backup job, though, his deal will be well worth it.

Packers lose Bryan Bulaga for the year

The Packers officially lost a key piece to their 2013 roster on Monday when tests confirmed that left tackle Bryan Bulaga suffered a torn ACL that will force him to miss the upcoming season. Bulaga suffered the injury during Saturday's scrimmage, but continued to play before alerting doctors of the pain after the scrimmage.

Green Bay will now have the difficult task of replacing Bulaga at left tackle and may be forced to rely on rookie fourth-round pick David Bakhtiari to protect Aaron Rodgers' blindside.

Terrell Owens drawing NFL interest

Young got his chance at a NFL comeback, but Terrell Owens is still waiting for his own opportunity. The 39-year-old receiver continues to workout in case an NFL team calls and, according to his agent, several teams have shown interest. Owens' agent, Jordan Woy, said a few teams have said they may be interested in signing Owens later in camp if they lose a wide receiver due to injury.

Owens spent part of training camp with Seattle last season, but was released during the team's final cuts.

Patrick Willis underwent surgery, will be ready for regular season

After sustaining a small fracture in his hand during practice last week, Patrick Willis opted to have surgery to repair the injury. He is still expected to be ready for the season opener, however, despite the procedure.

Willis played through a broken hand twice during his career, but opted to have the procedure done now instead of attempt to play through the injury for the entire season. He'll likely miss the majority of the preseason.

Dolphins sign Reshad Jones to $30 million extension

After being aggressive bidders during free agency, the Miami Dolphins continue to spend. They signed safety Reshad Jones to a four-year $30 million deal on Monday, including $15 million guaranteed.

The 25-year-old Jones had a breakout season last year, setting career-highs with 94 tackles, nine pass deflections and four interceptions. The deal makes Jones one of the highest-paid safeties in the NFL and takes him off next year's unrestricted free agent market.

Ed Dickson has a 'little tear' in his hamstring

Already without starting tight end Dennis Pitta for the season, the Baltimore Ravens will be without Ed Dickson for a week or more after an MRI revealed a slight tear in his hamstring. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said the injury is a "little tear," though, and doesn't expect it to keep Dickson out much longer than a week.

Without Pitta and now Dixon, recently signed Visanthe Shiancoe will take over the team's starting duties.

Ryan Williams not a lock for Cardinals final roster

Ryan Williams is dealing with another injury and is reportedly not a lock to make Arizona's 53-man roster. Cardinals' head coach Bruce Arians didn't criticize Williams directly, but said the other two players in the backup running back competition were pulling away from the pack.
