Portland hosts Real Salt Lake in a huge match, while Dallas heads to LA for a tilt with Chivas.
To watch MLS or the CONCACAF Champions League? That's the question.
MLS has two matches scheduled for Wednesday, the same night the Montreal Impact are playing in the Champions League. So choose which you want to watch because they're all on at the same time so you only get to watch one of the three.
Need some advice on which to watch? It's Salt Lake visiting Portland and if you pick another it's because your son is playing for one of the other teams and no other reason.
Chivas USA vs. FC Dallas
Wednesday, 10:30 p.m. ET - MLS Live
Once upon a time, Dallas was top of the West. Now, they are in eighth place.
Dallas isn't done, though. Only eight points separate them from first place and a win over Chivas will put them level with the Whitecaps for the final playoff spot. Luckily for them, they're playing Chivas.
Pick: Dallas, 2-1.
Portland Timbers vs. Real Salt Lake
Wednesday, 11 p.m. ET - MLS Live
Even the most ardent Caleb Porter supporters didn't think the Timbers would be this good and as much faith as most people had in Garth Lagerwey and Jason Kreis, RSL wasn't supposed to be this good, this quickly after their offseason overhaul. But here the two teams stand as two of the top teams in the Western Conference and as the league gears up for its stretch run, they're set to meet in front of one of MLS"s best crowds.
Ideally, this match wouldn't be played on a Wednesday and it would certainly be on national TV, but that's not the case. The scheduling gods didn't allow for it, and MLS's lack of flex scheduling relegated it to MLS Live, so instead the match will live in Portland, Salt Lake and the internet only. But RSL's clinical play will still test whether the Timbers can hang with the best in MLS.
Pick: Draw, 1-1.
