The Los Angeles Angels will reportedly replace either manager Mike Scioscia or general manager Jerry Dipoto before next season, according to Fox Sports' Jon Morosi.

For more on the Angels, head over toHalos Heaven.

Dipoto and Scioscia have significant "philosophical differences" that has led the organization to believe that the duo isn't capable of working together in its current capacity, per Morosi.

The Angels have been one of the biggest disappointments in baseball this season, entering play on Friday with a 55-71 record despite signing Josh Hamilton to a high-dollar free-agent contract and retaining one of the best young talents in the game in Mike Trout. Prior to the 2012 season, the team signed Albert Pujols and C.J. Wilson to mega-deals, but the big spending didn't lead to a playoff berth.

The contract status of both parties could be a factor in who goes first. Dipoto is signed through the 2014 season while Scioscia is in the fifth year of a 10-year, $50 million deal.
