Last year the Kansas City Chiefs barely had a chance to get to know linebacker Brandon Siler before he went down with a season-ending Achilles' injury. He's been back in action up in St. Joe the past three days but he'll be sitting Monday's practice out.

Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel told reporters today that Siler will sit out with an ankle injury. That's all the official information we have.

Obviously, you hope this isn't an injury related to the Achilles' injury he suffered last year. Siler is expected to compete with Jovan Belcher at the inside linebacker job. Crennel has already stated that, as of now, Belcher is the starter. Siler will also contribute on special teams if he makes the team.

We're not out at camp today but we'll pass along any more information on Siler as it comes in.

On another note, 610 Sports' Josh Vernier notes that Branden Albert will be back in pads today. Here's the explanation behind Albert missing part of yesterday.
