The Kansas City Chiefs have now ruled out three starters ahead of Sunday's Week 6 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Matt Cassel has a concussion and was ruled out earlier this week but on Friday the Chiefs ruled out Peyton Hillis and Glenn Dorsey, according to Adam Teicher of the KC Star.
This isn't a surprise. Hillis hasn't played since injuring his ankle in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints. Dorsey has been our for two weeks as well. He popped up on the injury report in Week 4 and hasn't played since.
At running back, this doesn't change much from what we've seen the last two weeks. The show is still centered around Jamaal Charles while Shaun Draughn and Cyrus Gray (who was sick on Thursday) will back him up.
At defensive end, the Chiefs will hope Ropati Pitoitua is able to play. He's been listed on the injury report this week and did not play in the Week 5 game against the Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs actually did OK with Pitoitua and Dorsey both out this week so it seems the depth is building along the defensive line.
We'll update the Chiefs full injury report later this afternoon.
