Rams 2013 schedule: St. Louis not done any favors by schedulers

The St. Louis Rams actually finished last season on a solid note, winning four of their final six games to finish with the odd 7-8-1 record. They're hoping to improve on that this season, but it won't be easy.

The Rams were given the fourth-hardest schedule in the league this year when looking at the win-loss records from last season. That's obviously not welcome news for a team that hasn't posted a winning record since 2003, but it will have to deal with the cards it has been dealt.

Toughest Out: If the Rams are in the hunt at the end of the year, their game on the road against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 17 isn't going to be easy. If that game doesn't matter, though, hosting San Francisco on four days rest in Week 4 is probably going to be the most difficult game on the schedule.

Must Win:The Rams' road game against the Colts heading into their bye week doesn't seem like a big game, but it could help them out quite a bit momentum-wise considering the second half of their schedule is filled with NFC opponents ... and not all easy ones, either.

Don't Overlook: St. Louis plays the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3 of the regular season and, while that wouldn't seem like an important game, the Rams can't get caught looking ahead to their game against the 49ers just a few days later -- especially considering there's a chance they could start the season with an 0-4 record if things fall wrong.
