Isaac Redman remains Steelers' starting running back

The Pittsburgh Steelers' running game looked awful in their opening-week loss to the Tennessee Titans. Head coach Mike Tomlin didn't think it was anything to get too worried about, however, as Isaac Redman is still his choice to be the team's starting running back.

Redman struggled mightily on Sunday, fumbling the ball twice amid just nine yards on eight carries. ESPN's Scott Brown reports that Tomlin said during Tuesday's press conference that he'll give his running back another week as the starter.

"Obviously he played a bad game," Tomlin said Tuesday at his weekly news conference. "He'll be given an opportunity to redeem himself."

Pittsburgh's running back situation is pretty dicey at the moment considering LaRod Stephens-Howling has been placed on injured reserve and rookie Le'Veon Bell missed opening week with an injury, but the team did re-sign Jonathan Dwyer on Monday to possibly alleviate some concerns in the backfield.

Redman rushed for 410 yards and two touchdowns in 14 games for the Steelers last season.
