Posluszny suffered a concussion during last week's win over the Tennessee Titans. He did not practice this week, but the Jaguars hesitated to rule him out on Friday's injury report. Saturday's update indicates that he was unable to pass the NFL's concussion protocol, and will not be suiting up this week as a result.

Posluszny is one of the veteran leaders on Jacksonville's young defense. Through nine games, the 29-year-old has recorded 88 tackles, two interceptions, one sack and a forced fumble. He has the distinction of being one of the few players to pick off Peyton Manning this season, taking an interception to the house in Jacksonville's close loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 6. With Posluszny out at least one game, the Jaguars are expected to shift Russell Allen to inside linebacker.
