One of Atlanta's primary role players now has a date for court.

Atlanta Falcons running back Jason Snelling has a court date of December 20 to enter a plea regarding his arrest for marijuana possession among other charges, according to Vaughn McClure.

Snelling was pulled over by police on Friday morning around 3:35 a.m. after the car he was driving was having trouble staying in its lane, per CBSSports.com. When the car was pulled over, the officer noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming form the vehicle, at which time Snelling disclosed he had been smoking marijuana at a friends house prior to driving.

Along with the charge of possession of marijuana, Snelling was charged with expired of no driver's license, failure to maintain insurance, failed to maintain lane, improper use of dealer license plate, possession of drug related materials, and no registration. The Falcons suspended Snelling for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Snelling has been a backup running back for the majority of his career, which began in 2007 with Atlanta. Snelling's best season came in 209 when he amassed 613 rushing yards.
