The Falcons tight end is listed as questionable but is expected to play in Week 14. We break down the fantasy implications.
Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez (toe) is listed as questionable but is expected to play in the team's Week 14 game against the Green Bay Packers. Gonzalez was limited in practice throughout the week but isn't expected to miss any time this week.
Fantasy Impact: Gonzalez will play in this Week 14 matchup that likely won't have any playoff implications. Gonzalez has been steady and solid through out the year, and more of the same is expected against the Aaron Rodgers-less Packers. Gonzalez has only topped the 100-yard receiving mark once this year but has a solid five touchdowns, two of which came in the last five weeks. He's also been good for about five catches per contest and has proven to be a solid play in both standard and PPR leagues.
Gonzalez won't have a particularly imposing matchup in the Green Bay defense. However, with the re-emergence of wide receiver Roddy White, who caught 10 passes for 143 yards last week, his targets could take a small hit. He is still a recommended play and owners should expect low-mid range TE1 production.
