Bayern Munich will be looking to finish off their spectacular 2013 by adding one more trophy.
Moroccan champions Raja Casablanca pulled off one of the biggest upsets in the short history of the Club World Cup on Wednesday, knocking off Ronaldinho and South American champions Atletico Mineiro. They're the first team to make the final after being admitted to the competition as champions of the host nation, and their reward for their efforts is a date with the utterly dominant European champions, Bayern Munich.
With no disrespect towards Raja intended, it's tough to see the Moroccans competing with the Bundesliga leaders. While beating Atletico Mineiro was an excellent accomplishment and a sign that they're certainly no pushovers, Bayern have dispatched nearly all challengers with relative ease so far this season, picking off where they left off at the end of their treble-winning campaign to put together one of the most impressive calendar years in modern footballing history.
If Tuesday's match against Guangzhou Evergrande is any indication, Bayern will take this game very seriously and will play close to their first team, despite the seemingly manageable opposition. Bastian Schweinsteiger and Arjen Robben are out injured, while Dante and Javi Martnez sat on Tuesday to give Daniel Van Buyten an opportunity to play. Otherwise, Bayern have their strongest team available and should use it.
