DeAngelo Williams rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown in Week 16. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

DeAngelo Williams put up a solid performance in Week 16 thanks to one play. Williams rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. His touchdown came in the second quarter. It was a 43-yard run up the middle that left Williams untouched once he broke through the line.

He did very little in the second half. In fact, the Panthersdid very little in the second half. Cam Newton surprised with a 14-yard game winning touchdown pass in to Domenik Hixon with 23 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Williams led the team in rushing. Mike Tolbert and Tedd Ginn Jr. each saw one carry for a combined eight yards.

Fantasy impact: Owners were taking a huge gamble if they started Williams in their fantasy championship, but he was coming off a huge game against the New York Jets. If it weren't for his 43-yard touchdown, Williams would have next to nothing to show for Week 16. Their risk was rewarded of course. Williams will face a vulnerable Atlanta Falcons defense in Week 17.
