The NFL's Supplemental Draft doesn't have anything on the real thing but it's nice to have some actual football news in the middle of July. Adam Caplan reports that the Supplemental Draft is expected to take place on July 12, though that's not confirmed yet.

We know of at least one name in the Supplemental Draft, though others have been rumored.

Wesley is leaving school for family reasons.

Caplan also reports that there could be as many as 10 players in the Supplemental Draft. A complete list could be out next week.

The Supplemental Draft is for those players who are qualified but did not enter April's draft. This is usually because their status with their school has somehow changed, whether that be for academic or disciplinary reasons. The Supplemental Draft is sort of a blind draft in that a team will select which round they will take the player in and, if they're the highest pick, they are awarded the player and lose the corresponding draft pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
