Viane Talamaivao recruit scouting report

What do you need to know about one of the nation's best guards?

At 6'3, 310 pounds, Viane Talamaivao is widely considered one of the best guards in the 2014 class. According to the 247Sports Composite, the consensus four-star recruit trails only Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco's Damien Mama, Jackson (Miss.) Callaway's Roderick Taylor and Olathe (Kan.) High School's Braden Smith in the race for the top spot.

A top-10 player in California this year, Talamaivao also rates out among the country's top 100 players in 2014. All four major recruiting services have him at about that same range.

Talamaivao, who anchors the Corona (Calif.) Centennial offensive line, has at least 17 reported offers, with most of his interest coming from Pac-12 programs like UCLA, USC, Arizona, Arizona State and California. To get a better idea of how coveted he is on the West Coast, consider that Oregon, Oregon State and Stanford are the only Pac-12 programs who haven't offered Talamaivao.
