Nate Robinson had an MRI on Thursday and found out he had sprained his ACL the night before.
Denver Nuggets guard Nate Robinson had an MRI on Thursday and it was discovered that he had a sprained left ACL, the team announced.
Robinson suffered the injury in the first quarter of Denver's game against the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday. Making his first start of the season in place of Ty Lawson (strained left rotator cuff), Robinson played only six minutes before having to leave the game.
According to the Nuggets, Robinson will be re-evaluated on Friday and then a decision will be made as to how this injury will be treated. Denver head coach Brian Shaw said at practice Thursday that more tests needed to be done to determine the severity of the injury, via Blake Olson of Altitude Sports.
With Lawson injured, this was the worst time for Robinson to end up out of the Nuggets' lineup. Could this mean exiled point guard Andre Miller might return to the team? It's possible, Shaw said, via Olson.
