We've come so FAAAAAAHHHHHH

The Russian Police Choir's been around. We have, in fact, seen them sing Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" before on the internet. This video went up a few months ago:

Well, the same guys did that performance again for the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Sochi, and I really think you ought to see it. I can't embed the video here because there are rules, but here is a link to go watch it on NBC's turf. Go ahead, take a look. I'll be here waiting when you get back.

...

Okay, so what did you think? Though the performance was dwarfed by the size of the stadium, it was certainly a grander affair than the one above. And I thought it was great. Some parts of it were the best of their kind. The booming group sections, the BeeGees-like high notes in the chorus, and some visual pleasures, too. For instance:

This is the best way to dance:

This is the best spin move:

This is the best concluding freeze-dance move:

(Side note: Please recognize that the lead singers here are not wearing hats because THEY KNEW FULL WELL THEIR GYRATING WOULD CAUSE THEIR HATS TO FALL OFF.)

These are the best faces to be making while you're waiting your turn to sing:

Are you crying? I would understand if you are crying. Oh, I'm talking to the guy in the GIF above because it kinda looks like he's crying, but also to you now, because it's okay to cry after what you just saw. Wonderful job, Russian Police Choir. You did great.
