Thaddeus Young can't remember the last time the 76ers won

Well, it was two whole months ago.

The Philadelphia 76ers have lost 25 games in a row and, with a loss on Thursday against the Houston Rockets, they would tie the 2010-2011 Cleveland Cavaliers for the longest losing streak ever. Their last win came against the Boston Celtics on Jan. 27, when since-departed swingman Evan Turner hit a game-winner.

"Tell you the truth, I don't even remember it," Young said, via the New York Times' Jere Longman.

Back then, things were different in Philadelphia. They were still bad, but they weren't this bad. The Sixers were 15-31, and it was their third (!!) victory in nine games. The win vaulted Philly ahead of Boston in the standings. (Actually ahead, not ahead in the race to the bottom.) The term "confidence boost" was used in a Philadelphia Inquirer game story.

"It's huge obviously," Turner said of the confidence boost. "We pulled through and came back from giving up a lead."

It's hard not to feel bad for Young now, stuck on a tanking team while Turner gets to be the sixth man for the Indiana Pacers. He's averaged a career-best 18 points for the Sixers, but nothing about this season has been easy. He probably wishes he can forget the whole thing.
