Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart is officially turning pro.

SB Nation 2014 NCAA March Madness Coverage

Marcus Smart is going to the NBA, the Oklahoma State guard told the Oklahoman's John Helsley on Monday:

"I've told my teammates and my coaching staff, this year was my last year here and I am declaring for the NBA Draft," Smart said. "I have picked an agent, with the Wasserman Group, a great group of guys.

"Ready to rock and roll. I'm getting ready for the NBA Draft and I'm ready to start training."

Smart added, as he has said numerous times over the past 12 months, that he believes he made the right decision in returning to Stillwater for his sophomore season. He also said that he'll be moving to Los Angeles for pre-draft training later this week.

Projected as the No. 6 pick on DraftExpress, Smart averaged 18 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists this past season. He had 23 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists in his final college game, when the Cowboys were eliminated by Gonzaga in the Round of 64 in this year's NCAA Tournament.

It was a disappointing season for Smart and Oklahoma State, but it likely didn't affect his draft stock too much.
