Here's how I imagine the Brooklyn Nets' thought process went on this play:

"Oh hey, we're the Nets and we're in desperate need of a win so we can stave off the Wizards for the No. 5 spot in the Eastern Confer -- OH NO WHAT HAVE WE DONE WHY IS IMAN SHUMPERT DOING THIS TO US WE'RE LOSING BY 20."
