Last week, Roma handed Juventus the title by losing to Catania, and Napoli grabbed third when Sassuolo beat Roma. But there's still plenty of drama available in Serie A.
Europa
It's highly unlikely that the Europa League places will be filled until next Sunday. After Inter lost the Derby last week, even their European place is in danger - which means that the final slots could be filled by any of Torino, Parma, Milan, Verona or Lazio. Toro are there now, but can they hang on?
Relegation
This one gets tricky. Three sides could go down, no sides could go down, it's all very complex.
If Catania and Livorno both win this weekend, we'll have to wait until next week to figure out who's spending next season in Serie B...maybe.
If Catania and/or Livorno lose, that's it - they're done. Enjoy the second division, guys.
But, even if Catania and Livorno win, if Chievo win as well, either/or of those sides are going down. If Chievo draw and Livorno win, the amaranto are still down, as they could only equal Chievo's point total, and the Flying Donkeys hold a better head to head.
And if Catania win and Chievo win, Bologna are also relegated. In other words, Cagliari's fanbase is about to go up by about 200 percent.
Saturday
Hellas Verona vs. Udinese
6 p.m. local, 12 noon ET at the Bentegodi, Verona
Europa. Verona split the points with fellow European chasers Lazio last week, so they need three points to stay in the race before traveling to the San Paolo on the final day.
Inter Milan vs. Lazio
8:45 p.m. local, 2:45 p.m. ET at the San Siro, Milan
Europa. If Lazio win, suddenly Inter aren't assured of European play - and Walter Mazzarri's spending his mornings scouring the Help Wanted section.
Sunday
Atalanta vs. AC Milan
12:30 p.m. local, 6:30 a.m. ET at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia, Bergamo
Europa. After a dismal season, the rossoneri might still make it into the tournament - and since Atalanta have nothing to play for, it may be a routine win for the visitors.
Bologna vs. Catania
3 p.m. local, 9 a.m. ET at the Stadio Renato Della`Ara, Bologna
Relegation. Ooh, the big one. It all depends on Chievo, of course, but both sides know that three points here could very well save them from being sent down.
Cagliari vs. Chievo Verona
3 p.m. local, 9 a.m. ET at the Stadio Sant'Elia, Cagliari
Relegation. Cagliari will win, based on the fact that the enormous fanbases supporting Catania, Livorno and Bologna will all throw their weight behind the isolani.
Livorno vs. Fiorentina
3 p.m. local, 9 a.m. ET at the Stadio Armando Picchi, Livorno
Relegation. While this is a Tuscan Derby, there's not a lot of hostility to be found between these two sides. So will Fiorentina follow the long Italian tradition of giving the side that's got something to play for a boost? And will the three points even matter to Livorno?
Sampdoria vs. Napoli
3 p.m. local, 9 a.m. ET at the Marassi, Genoa
There is absolutely no reason to watch this game unless you believe that Rafa Benítez will use this means-nothing match to try something other than a 4-2-3-1. Hahahahaha.
Sassuolo vs. Genoa
3 p.m. local, 9 a.m. ET at the Città del Tricolore, Reggio EmiliaRelegation. With their win over Fiorentina on Tuesday, Sassuolo moved two points clear of the drop. But if they lose and both Bologna and Chievo win, they're right back in the mix. Genoa could show mercy, but they must complete their very important task of finishing above Sampdoria.
Torino vs. Parma
3 p.m. local, 9 a.m. ET at the Stadio Olimpico, TurinEuropa. Separated by a point, these two are competing for the chance to slip back into Europe after a long absence. Torino are currently holding on to sixth, unbeaten in six and notching five wins in that streak. But Parma are really, really good at getting a point - which could open the door for Milan to sneak in.
AS Roma vs. Juventus
