
Five undercard races are complete at Pimlico.
Preakness day continues at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore with the fourth and fifth undercard races of the day. The fifth race Saturday was the first stakes race of the day.
The Grade 3 sprint, covering six furlongs on the dirt with a $150,000 purse, got underway at 1:12 p.m. ET. Happy My Way, the 6/5 favorite, beat out four other horses with a time of 109.21. Lemon Drop Dream, going into the race with 4/1 odds, placed second, and Service For Ten, at 6/1 finished third. Salutos Amigos was listed at 3/1 odds, but was scratched.
Prior to the that was the fourth race of the day, five furlongs on the dirt paying out $55,000. Majestic Hussar went in with 8/5 odds and won, racing around the track in 58.46. Silvertoungedtommy (15/1) was second, and Awesome Arceno (12/1) finished third. Ten horses competed in the race, and six more were scratched.
The 139th Preakness Stakes will be the 12th race of the day, and post time is scheduled for 6:20 p.m.
