The New York Rangers' best line this postseason came through once again to open the scoring in the Stanley Cup Final.

Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty has not made many mistakes this postseason, but he made a costly one midway through the first period of Game 1 on Wednesday.

A Doughty turnover at the blue line resulted in a breakaway for Benoit Pouliot. He did not waste that opportunity, beating Kings goalie Jonathan Quick with a quick snap shot to give the Rangers an early 1-0 lead.

The line of Pouliot, Derick Brassard and Mats Zuccarello has been New York's best for most of the postseason, so it's fitting that they were the ones that got things started in the Stanley Cup Final.

It was Pouliot's fourth goal of the postseason.

The Rangers added to the lead less than two minutes later when Carl Hagelin scored a shorthanded goal. You know, maybe Darryl Sutter should have been a little more concerned about his team's start.
