Phil Jackson has pulled the trigger on a huge contract offer to keep Carmelo Anthony in blue and orange.

The New York Knicks have verbally offered unrestricted free agent Carmelo Anthony a max offer sheet worth five years and $129 million, per a report from ESPN's Chris Broussard and Ian Begley.

Anthony, 30, is also considering joining the Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls or Dallas Mavericks. The former scoring champion has already been extended a four-year, $97 million offer from the Los Angeles Lakers after meeting with them on Thursday.

Much like LeBron James, Anthony has taken his time as he has had teams come to him to pitch their worth. It hasn't all been relaxing, though. In Houston on Wednesday, a stink was raised after pictures of Anthony photoshopped into Jeremy Lin's No. 7 jersey were found on the display board at the Toyota Center.

For Anthony, finding the right mixture of money and talent to play with is key. In all four situations, save for New York, Anthony would be pairing up with another superstar upon signing a max contract. That's not to say the Knicks couldn't add another star -- they are reportedly pursuing Pau Gasol, with Anthony himself making a pitch for the former Lakers big man to move to the Big Apple.

Anthony is expected to take the long July 4 holiday weekend to mull his options before announcing his decision next week.
