Meet the German astronaut who enjoyed the World Cup from space

We don't know if Alexander Gerst is the biggest German fan, but we can say unequivocally that he watched from the most remote place.

Gerst had a chance to watch Germany win the World Cup from the International Space Station. Floating around watching the game with a few of his fellow astronauts. It gave him the chance to snap a few photos for the folks back home that nobody can match.
