Rain showers this morning will move across the area, and winds will begin to increase. The weather elements should have an impact on today's second round at the 2014 British Open.
Rain showers will move over the Royal Liverpool Golf Club this morning with strong gusty winds. While most of the rain showers will take place in the morning, there could be a few isolated showers and storms in the afternoon. The story today will be the strong gusty winds out of the southeast. Sustained winds could be between 15 and 20 mph but a few gusts could reach 30 mph.
Friday will be the windiest day, but Saturday could be the wettest. A storm systems passing by to the east will spread more rain showers over the region during the day. Some of those showers could be heavy with a few thunderstorms. By Sunday the rain and the system pass by and we will have dry weather for the final round.
