Coach K and the Blue Devils landed the big man from Las Vegas on Monday.

The Duke Blue Devils will welcome arguably the best freshman center in the country when Jahlil Okafor makes his college debut this season. A year from now, Duke will again have one of the best freshmen big men when Las Vegas native Chase Jeter suits up for the Blue Devils. Jeter announced on Monday evening that he will attend Duke upon graduating from Bishop Gorman High School in the class of 2015.

Jeter, a 6'10 big man, is the No. 13 recruit in ESPN's Top 100. He joins No. 31 recruit Luke Kennard in coach Mike Krzyzewski's 2015-16 freshman class. With Okafor considered a top prospect in the 2015 NBA Draft, Jeter could find himself with a lot of responsibility and playing time when he steps on campus.

Born in September 1997, Jeter is one of the youngest players in the 2015 class and has shot up recruiting boards all summer. He is now the second-highest ranked prospect on ESPN's recruiting board to make a college decision, following only LSU commit Ben Simmons.

ESPN calls him a "hard-working post prospect who plays with great energy."  He's a long-armed and athletic big man who can run in transition, rebound the ball and block shots. Essentially, he's the type of athlete that Coach K loves to take and mold. Duke beat out UCLA, UNLV and Arizona for the commitment.
