A scuffle between Seahawks and Broncos players resulted in an ejection for cornerback Tharold Simon.
Seattle Seahawks cornerback Tharold Simon was ejected from the team's preseason debut against the Denver Broncos after throwing a punch in a scuffle with tight end Gerell Robinson.
Simon, 23, was a fifth-round draft pick of the team in the 2013 NFL Draft, but did not play during their Super Bowl campaign after a fractured foot sent him to the physically unable to perform list and eventually the injured reserve. A year removed from being drafted, Simon finally got to put on a Seahawks uniform and play on Thursday night, although his debut didn't go as planned.
At the time of the ejection, the Seahawks led the Broncos 10-7 in the third quarter, but Denver scored shortly thereafter to take a 14-10 lead.
Simon apologized to fans after the game.
