Pitchers are almost always terrible hitters, so watching them try to hit a breaking ball can be painful at times. Or funny, depending on your perspective. Just ask Hyun-Jin Ryu, who struck out Ervin Santana with a curveball in the third inning on Wednesday night in Atlanta. For his part, Santana could just laugh, almost even as he was striking out.
