The Raiders are sticking by their veteran quarterback despite a dismal preseason. We break down the fantasy implications.

Oakland Raiders quarterback Matt Schaub is drawing more heat for a string of poor preseason performances, but the team is standing behind him. The Raiders still expect Schaub to start in Week 1 and head coach Dennis Allen says he has "no concerns" about Schaub.

The Raiders acquired Schaub from the Houston Texans hoping to stabilize their quarterback position while developing second-round pick Derek Carr. Instead, Schaub is raising more questions than answers, completing just 24 of 47 passes for 218 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. He's recently been held out of practice with elbow tendinitis.

Fantasy impact: It seems like the Raiders are all-in on Schaub despite his ineffectiveness, but they may soon be left with no choice but to turn to Carr or Matt McGloin. Oakland is setting up to be another fantasy wasteland in 2014, though Maurice Jones-Drew could be a useful flex play behind an improved offensive line. Schaub is not draftable and Carr isn't ready to help re-draft teams. James Jones, Rod Streater and Andre Holmes can't be trusted with the quarterback position in shambles.
