The rookie receiver simply can't recover from a hamstring injury and will miss the entire preseason. We break down the fantasy implications.
New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. continues to deal with a lingering hamstring injury, and he will not be playing in the preseason finale on Thursday. The Giants have not said whether Beckham will be ready for the regular season opener on Sept. 8.
Beckham first suffered the injury in spring workouts, and it lingered into the summer. He missed nearly the entire training camp and will not be playing in any of the preseason games, putting the LSU star way behind the curve for his rookie season. The Giants selected Beckham with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
Fantasy impact: With so much time lost, and with the Giants' offense still looking less than sharp, any production from Beckham should be considered a bonus this year. He remains a high-upside stash in dynasty leagues, but re-draft owners should stay away from Beckham for now. He's not worth a draft pick in 2014.
