Coming off an upset of the 49ers, the Bears travel to New York to challenge the Jets.

The Jets return home after a near upset of the Packers to face a Bears team riding high from its stunning comeback win over the 49ers last week.

The Bears avoided an 0-2 start with one of the most surprising comebacks of the season, erasing a 17-point first-half deficit on the road to beat San Francisco 28-20 in Week 2. Jay Cutler threw three fourth-quarter touchdowns in the upset, but it was the Bears defense that made the difference with three interceptions and four sacks of Colin Kaepernick.

The Jets nearly pulled off their own improbable rally at Lambeau Field last week. Instead, an ill-advised timeout negated what would have been the game-tying touchdown in an eventual 31-24 loss to the Packers. They look to get back on track with a win at home against the Bears.

Nuts and Bolts

The Bears are in a comfortable position playing in the spotlight on Monday night. Chicago has won 13 of its last 16 Monday Night Football games dating back to 2006, though all three losses came on the road. To beat the Jets, they'll have to improve a rush defense that has allowed the most yards on the ground of any team since the start of last season.

The Jets have relied heavily on the run, leading the NFL with 358 rushing yards through the first two weeks. They feature a dynamic backfield duo in Chris Ivory, who is averaging 6.3 yards per rush, and Chris Johnson. If the Jets can continue to pound the ball up the middle and control the clock, then they'll have a chance to beat the Bears on Monday night.
