It has been an odd season for the Indy Eleven. The NASL team launched with munch fanfare last season. Great crest. Committed ownership. Great ticket sales, averaging over 10,000 per game. The results haven't been quite so promising.
Indy Eleven finished winless and at the bottom of the table in the Spring Season and are mired in ninth of 10 teams during the fall. But the struggles that have been most painful have been at home, where they had gone a combined 12 games without a win. Well, until Saturday.
Facing NASL-leading Minnesota United, Indy Eleven finally gave their fans something to cheer about, scoring a 2-0 win.
Their fans reacted like you'd expect. YUP. PITCH INVASION!
Well, sorta. As you can see, this wasn't exactly the chaotic pitch invasion you've come to know, love and kinda fear. This was all pretty orderly and, literally, kid friendly. But, still, fun to see nonetheless.
