Phil Kessel looked like something out of a video game when he scored the game-winning goal in overtime against the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday night.
A lot of people have a lot of different opinions on Phil Kessel, and many of them are pretty negative for a guy that is one of the best goal-scorers in the NHL. He doesn't work hard enough. He's too inconsistent. He's out of shape. So on and so on.
And then at the end of the year he still ends up with more than 30 goals and is one of the few things that makes the Maple Leafs watchable on a nightly basis.
On Tuesday, he did what he does best and used his speed and skill to score a beauty of a goal in overtime to give the Maple Leafs a 3-2 overtime win over the Colorado Avalanche. Tyson Barrie (No. 4 in white) didn't stand a chance on that play and is still probably trying to catch him.
