The time fumbling the ball was actually a good thing for Redskins' Robert Griffin III.
From the 28-yard lline, RGIII and the Redskins ran the triple option to the right side of the field. RGIII made it 13 yards before falling to the ground. But before he went down the ball popped up and somehow the ball made it into the hands of Josh Morgan, who ran it in for a touchdown.
First, was he down? Nope. He wasn't.
The ball was coming out before his butt hit the ground. The referees made the right call.
In real time it looked like RGIII lateraled it forward or fumbled it forward but replays showed it wasn't intentional. Morgan was in the right spot at the right time.
Hogs Haven sums up what everyone's thinking about RGIII:
RGIII is so good he fumbles a TD. 7-3 #Redskins
