The Kansas City Chiefs did not suffer as many injuries last weekend against the Cleveland Browns as they did the week before against the Carolina Panthers but they still come out of Week 14 banged up. Dwayne Bowe is the big name on the Chiefs injury report.
Updates from Romeo Crennel's Monday press conference are below...
Bowe, as you know, is out this weekend and, according to a report, the Chiefs plan to put him on injured reserve, which would end his season. "They're doing MRIs and all that good stuff [on Monday]," Crennel said. "As soon as they find out finally what it is, I'll let you know. But he's not going to be there next week."
Abe Elam missed Sunday's game with an injury, as did Kendrick Lewis, which resulted in Tysyn Hartman starting a game. Crennel isn't sure whether Elam will be back next week. As for Lewis, he said, "hopefully the rest over the weekend and this coming week, we'll see where he is and see what he can get done."
Branden Albert played last week after missing the previous two with back issues. Crennel said Albert's back "acted up" in Sunday's game so "we're going to have to see where he is as far as that goes."
Finally, Cyrus Gray received a "stinger" during the game, according to Crennel. No word on his status but it didn't seem serious.
