The fourth stage of the Giro d'Italia takes place Tuesday morning. The race starts at Policastro Bussentino, then traverses 246 kilometers toward the finish line at Serra San Bruno. It also contains the first uphill finish of any stage in the Giro d'Italia, with the climb to Croce Ferrata capping things off.

Podium Cafe provides more intricate details regarding the makeup of stage four.

Tomorrow's long stage to Serra San Bruno is another "medio montagna" day, with a long climb of 12km up the Croce Ferrara, a slope that hits 10% but averages only 5% or so. There will be an opportunity for more gamesmanship among the favorites, but there is also a finishing descent (albeit short) for someone less obvious to sneak away. Also, at 246km, it's possible an escape will be left to take the stage.

Luca Paolini is the points leader through three stages at 29 points, with Mark Cavendish right behind with 28. Paolini was also the winner of Monday's third stage by 16 seconds. Bradley Wiggins (the favorite to win the overall race) finished 8th overall in yesterday's stage.

Coverage of the Giro d'Italia can be found on beIN Sport starting around 9:45 am ET, although the race will begin four and a half hours earlier at 5:15 a.m. ET. The channel is available on several American carriers, including Comcast, Dish Network, Verizon FiOS and DirecTV.
