Andy Carroll's form for West Ham United has seen him earn an England recall, while Alex McCarthy could get his first cap in a rather underwhelming England squad announced by Roy Hodgson.
England are set to play friendlies against The Republic of Ireland and Brazil, although there are few other surprises in the squad. Daniel Sturridge, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Michael Carrick all also feature, while Frank Lampard is also picked.
Carroll has not featured for England since October, where he was an unused substitute, while Alex McCarthy could be the first player from Reading's academy ever to play for the national side.
