England and Italy, two teams who will have aspirations of winning the European Under-21 title, kick off their campaign on Wednesday. The Azzurrini have a few senior internationals and a number of other young players who turned in solid seasons in Serie A, but England's team is a strong one and they'll like their chances to nick a result against Italy following their excellent qualifying performance.
Italy have four players who have been capped for their senior national team, while England has five. Paris Saint-Germain's Marco Verratti is Italy's biggest star, though he's played just three times for the Under-21s. Up top, Italy is loaded and it will be difficult for Devis Mangia to decide who to leave off the bench. England, comparatively, are not strong at center forward and are likely to play their best player, natural winger Wilfried Zaha, in the center forward spot.
