If there's one defining quality of this Stanley Cup Final, it's that every game is close at the very end. Considering how the second period of Game 5 went, it's hard to imagine the Bruins coming back to tie this one. Boston trails 2-0 and could be without their best player in the third period.
The Bruins had a tough time keeping up with the speedy Blackhawks as the period began, and they paid for it. Bryan Bickell started the play at the neutral zone, wrapped it around the net and Patrick Kane backhanded the rebound in for his second goal of the game.

Dennis Seidenberg was called for boarding a minute or so later, and Boston found itself in hot water once again. They killed it off and then tried to kill Andrew Shaw.

Chicago kept pushing. The Hawks completely dominated both sides of the ice for long stretches, resulting in numerous plays like this from Jonathan Toews.

Boston's best player in the playoffs, Patrice Bergeron, missed most of the second period with an unspecified injury. If he can't continue, Boston is in real trouble.
