NBA Draft rumors: Oklahoma City, Minnesota want No. 2 pick, Cavs still receiving offers

The 2013 NBA Draft is less than two hours away and, as anyone who follows this sort of thing likely predicted, the trade rumors are ramping up as we move closer to the Cleveland Cavaliers being officially on the clock. The most interesting new rumor, however, is that the Oklahoma City Thunder are angling to move up to the second pick.

The Thunder have a hole between Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant at the shooting guard spot that Oklahoma City would like Indiana's Victor Oladipo to fill, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. It's unclear what the Thunder would have to give up in order to trade places with the Orlando Magic in order to secure Oladipo's services.

-- The Magic aren't only getting calls from the Thunder, however, as Wojnarowski also reports that the Minnesota Timberwolves have inquired about moving up to the second overall pick. What they'd have to trade remains to be seen, but adding a defensive stopper like Oladipo alongside Ricky Rubio would be a pretty stellar backcourt.

-- The Cavs might not be on the clock for long, as it sounds like teams are still angling for a shot at picking first in this year's draft.

The latest reports indicate that the Phoenix Suns have submitted an offer of the fifth overall pick and their No. 30 pick in exchange for the right to select Kentucky big man Nerlens Noel with the top overall pick, according to ESPN's Chad Ford. Ford isn't sure whether the Cavs are interested, but fans can expect to find out shortly.

-- Draft Express reports a drastically different option if the Suns don't move up to the top pick. The Suns would instead be hoping Oladipo falls to No. 5. If that doesn't happen, according to Jonathan Givony, there's a chance Phoenix trades down in order to get teammate Cody Zeller.

-- The Boston Celtics are said to be close to acquiring three first-round picks from the Brooklyn Nets in a trade that would move Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce. We've already broken down the details in this post, but ESPN's Marc Stein has an update on the draft picks. According to Stein, the Celtics would get unprotected first-round picks from Brooklyn in 2016 and 2018 along with the worst pick between Brooklyn and Atlanta (thanks to the Joe Johnson trade) in next year's draft.

-- That deal won't happen, though, if Garnett refuses to waive his no-trade clause. There's no indication that Garnett is going to hold up the deal permanently, but Wojnarowski reports that a source close to Garnett says he "doesn't want to be pressured into a quick decision." That could make things interesting.

-- The New York Knicks apparently really want German point guard Dennis Schroeder, but Wojnarowski says they understand he'll likely never make it to them.

-- Anthony Bennett was once considered an option for the top pick in this year's draft. Now, it sounds as though he could fall to the Portland Trail Blazers with the No. 10 pick -- and they'd have a decision to make from there, according to Wojnarowski.

-- The Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets are among teams looking to sell picks in the latter half of the first round, according to CBS Sports' Ken Berger. There's no indication whether they'll be able to do so, but if somebody falls there should be options for teams to move up and grab them.

-- The Dallas Mavericks have apparently decided on picking a point guard with their No. 13 pick. Whether it's Michael Carter-Williams -- as Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports -- or it's Trey Burke -- as ESPN's Chad Ford expects in his latest mock draft -- will likely come down to which is available.
