As many expected, Matt Cassel will not practice for the Kansas City Chiefs on Wednesday. He suffered a concussion in last Sunday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens and Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel was cautious when talking about his status in Monday's press conference. So that he's not practicing isn't a big surprise.
Dave Skretta gives us a few more details:
Matt Cassel was in building today for a short time, but Romeo Crennel says he wasn't sticking around. Has been told to rest.

Cassel will likely need to practice a little bit in order to have a shot to play. With the Chiefs bye coming up after this game, it makes sense that KC would rest him this week in order to give him two full weeks to recover.
Of course, the other issue at play here is whether Cassel would start the game even if he were healthy. He's had a miserable season to start and everyone outside of the organization seems to be calling for Brady Quinn.
