On Sunday, the Denver Broncos welcomed cornerback Champ Bailey back to practice after he sat out of all activities for the previous two weeks with a foot injury, according to the Denver Post.

It's still uncertain whether Bailey will be able to play against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night to open the regular season, but it's at least a possibility at this point. Bailey would certainly love to be out there, trying to get redemption after being torched in this matchup by Torrey Smith during the postseason last year.

If Bailey can't play, that will bump Chris Harris and Tony Carter into larger roles alongside Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, who the Broncos picked up via free agency this offseason.

Bailey, 35, is still Denver's best corner and is vital to its success, especially with linebacker Von Miller sidelined for the first six games. The Broncos might struggle to get going in the pass rush department, making their cover skills essential
