Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh confirmed that wide receiver Jacoby Jones has a sprained MCL. The Ravens would offer no timetable on his return, but Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun says that he will be out for 4-6 weeks.
Jones suffered the injury on a freak collision during a punt return in Thursday's loss to the Denver Broncos. Marlon Brown took over and is expected to get the start in his place until he returns.
Fantasy impact: Jones didn't have much to offer standard fantasy players as his big contribution came on special teams. Now that he's out until at least October, he can be safely dropped in all league formats. Undrafted rookie Brown impressed in the preseason and had a fine performance on Thursday. He's worth picking up and stashing on the bench as a plug-and-play option. The Ravens are desperate for playmakers after losing Jones and Dennis Pitta.
