New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola practiced wearing all of his pads on Wednesday, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss. He's still listed as doubtful, however, for the team's Week 4 game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Fantasy impact: Amendola managed 10 catches for 104 yards receiving in his first and only game as a Patriot in Week 1. There is no doubt he is one of the toughest players in the NFL, but he also has a history of getting injured every year.
Although Julian Edelman has played well in Amendola's absence, you can bet that quarterback Tom Brady can't wait for the latter to get back in the lineup along with tight end Rob Gronkowski. Younger and lesser-known receivers Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins have proved to be too inconsistent to carry the load on a regular basis.
Fantasy owners should wait to see if Amendola practices in full gear on both Thursday and Friday as there is always a chance his status could be upgraded by the team. Waiting that little extra bit should provide enough time to adjust your fantasy roster accordingly.
