For the first time in 15 games Evgeni Malkin found the back of the net for the Pittsburgh Penguins. James Neal made it impossible for him to pass up the shot.

Evgeni Malkin has been playing some pretty great hockey over the past couple of weeks but it's been overshadowed by the fact that he hasn't scored a goal in 15 games. That slump finally came to an end in the second period of the Penguins' game on Friday against the New York Islanders when he scored this goal to give them a 3-1 lead.

One of the biggest things that's been happening with Malkin when it comes to his goal scoring (or lack of it) this season has been a newfound habit of passing up good shooting opportunities to set up a teammate. It's cut down on his goals, but it's resulted in a spike in his assists. On this play, James Neal pretty much forced Malkin to take a shot.

Malkin was also on the ice for Pittsburgh's first two goals and had been on the ice for 17 of Pittsburgh's past 25 goals, which is pretty impressive.
