The Eagles lost Michael Vick and had another long list of mistakes that gave the Cowboys a win.
The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles both need a win something terrible to keep their playoff hopes alive. The two teams are both 3-5, 2.5 games behind the New York Giants in the NFC East, and both are coming into this Sunday's game in Philadelphia on losing streaks.
The Cowboys will snap a three-game losing streak with a win, after taking a 19-13 loss in Atlanta last Sunday night. Dallas did not score a touchdown until deep into the fourth quarter in that game, and only ran for 65 yards. The Cowboys rank 29th in the NFL in rushing yards. Lead tailback DeMarco Murray will probably miss a fourth straight game with a sprained foot.
The Eagles need a win Sunday to avoid the first five-game losing streak of Coach Andy Reid's 14-year tenure. Philadelphia fell 28-13 to the New Orleans Saints in the Superdome last Monday. The Eagles' offensive line, which will be missing four starters on Sunday, allowed seven sacks of quarterback Michael Vick. Vick completed 22 of 41 passes Monday, for 272 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
