Scary moment on Friday night for the New Jersey Devils' all-time leading scorer.
Patrik Elias had to leave New Jersey's game against Washington early in the first period on Friday night after he crashed head-first into the stanchion between the benches following a check from Capitals rookie Tom Wilson.
The 37-year-old Elias is New Jersey's second-leading scorer this season with 51 points (17 goals, 34 assists) in 61 games this season.
The Devils have yet to offer an update on his status.
